LDAN AND DRUGSCOPE TO MERGE?

The board of the London Drug & Alcohol Network has invited its members' views on a proposed merger with DrugScope. The move was triggered by the fact that, from February 2009, LDAN will no longer be core-funded by London councils due to changes in funding priorities.

Under the plans, LDAN will continue to focus on London drug and alcohol services, operating as a regional entity within the larger organisation.

Responses should be submitted by 1 December 2008 to:

 "LDAN Merger Consultation",
Robyn Doran,
chair - LDAN,
Unit 8b, New North House,
Canonbury Business Centre,
202-208 New North House,
London N1 7BJ.

Alternatively, you also click on the hyperlink to the LDAN website and email.

There will also be an Annual General Meeting and Extraordinary General Meeting on 1 December, at which members will be able to express their views.

LDAN will be givng more details to its members between now and then.
