Pioneering drug and alcohol treatment centre, Winthrop Hall in Staplehurst, Kent celebrated its first birthday this week with a tea party.

Set up as the brain child of private equity boss, Jon Moulton of Alchemy Partners, to offer services on a par with treatment centres in the US, Winthrop Hall has now treated over 100 patients with drug and alcohol problems. Those who complete the six-week treatment are 25 times more likely to stay abstinent as a result.

“November sees us launch our first national press and TV advertising campaigns. We will open a London office in the New Year. And we will be revealing a new online treatment offering,” revealed marketing director Marco Martinez of its expansion plans. Next year sees the publication of an annual Winthrop Report in association with King’s College and the Institute of Psychiatry.

Winthrop offers an innovative form of residential treatment, using a combination of 12-step therapy and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy with many complementary treatments such as reiki, yoga and aromatherapy.  The centre combines the latest treatment with skilled nursing care and kindness.

Commended by the Commission for Social Care Inspection for its “good quality outcomes”, Winthrop Hall has also received a five-star rating for its catering services. Built on the site of an old convent, this state-of-the-art, purpose-built treatment centre has been shortlisted for a Best Sustainable Design Award at this year’s Building Better Healthcare Awards.

Treating individuals who are drug and alcohol dependent is not easy considering the huge cost. But to have a business entity like yours is already a big relief. I wonder if you still continue this offerings until now.
