BROADCASTING TO BUILD RECOVERY
Two new recovery resources have arrived to help professionals, people in recovery and members of the general public who want to learn more.
The Afflicted and Affected internet broadcast is hosted by well-known radio personality and recovery lecturer Chris Schroeder. The show highlights the most current and effective professional services and treatments for addictive illnesses as well as the latest tools available for building a successful long-term recovery. It will feature treatment purchasing and delivery practices based on what really works, interspersed with real-life success stories of recovery.
Shows will offer interviews and discussions with experts, after-show question and answer sessions, answers by experts in the field to specific audience questions, online polls with national and international perspectives, and archived shows and videos covering specific topics.
Dr Michael Miller, president of the American Society of Addiction Medicine, is the inaugural interviewee.

The recovering community is given new voice at www.SoberBulldog.com, an edgy anarchical, interactive internet site where you can get resources, information, fellowship and, for once, HEARD. The concerned professionals at C4 Recovery Solutions launched it to provide a space where the recovering community can connect, dialogue, share opinions and get accurate, up-to-date, and helpful information on recovery; along with www.addictiontoday.org, it is your place to grow, share and help build a worldwide recovering community. Goals include:
• Education: the latest for both professionals and individuals;
• Connections: experts interviewed on Afflicted & Affected on-line broadcasts;
• News and events: through contacts around the world;
• Your voice: in interactive discussions;
• Your influence: new ways to affect policy; and,
• Resources: the best we can make available.
The first blog is by Ric Ohrstrom, chairman of C4 Recovery Solutions, a not-for-profit organisation which established both resources. It is a strategic partner with the Addiction Recovery Foundation which publishes Addiction Today journal and online newspaper.
